About Us

Our Firm

Founded in 1979 as Himmel/Bonner Architects, Scott Himmel, Architect P.C. has established a reputation for high quality work that exceeds the clients’ expectations. Since 1994 we have focused our firm’s work on private residential interior architecture and decoration; though, we are flexible in our collaboration, as we have acted as the interior architects with other decorators and vice versa. In all of our projects we seek to provide a unified environment appropriate to both the client and the overall architecture, representing the ideal intersection between your existing space, your needs, and your dreams.

In addition, a small but important part of our practice involves consultation with high-end developers during the design phases of multi-family projects, including the interior design of the public spaces. We have worked with many of the country’s most prestigious developers including The Trump Organization, The Fordham Company, Golub & Company, Prime Realty Trust, and the MCL Companies.

Our firm has received worldwide recognition for the quality of its work. Projects have been featured in over 60 books and periodicals throughout Europe, Asia & the United States. In particular, our residential projects have been featured in Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Shelter, Luxe Home, Metropolitan Home, G.A., Interior Design & Interiors Magazine.
